Delegated managers
You can let trusted members help manage a server from the dashboard without handing over ownership. You do this by nominating a manager role: anyone who holds that role on Discord gets delegated dashboard access to that server.
Open Access control in the sidebar (with the server selected). Only the server owner can configure this.
Nominating a manager role
- Select the server from the sidebar dropdown.
- Open Access control.
- Under Manager role, pick a Discord role (or No delegation (owner only) to keep access to yourself).
- Click Save delegation and confirm.
The page shows which role is currently delegated and how many members hold it. Granting a role is a meaningful amount of access, so you are asked to confirm.
Some roles cannot be used
Managed roles (such as bot or Nitro Booster roles) cannot be used as a manager role. Pick a normal role you assign to your team.
What managers can and cannot do
Members with the manager role see a Managed badge next to that server and can use most of the day-to-day feature pages. They cannot do owner-only things.
| Managers can | Managers cannot |
|---|---|
| Use feature pages like Send message, Feeds, Custom commands, Automations (custom), and view the Leaderboard and Moderation records | Turn features on or off |
| Configure the content they are allowed to manage | Invite or remove the bot |
| Change the manager role (delegation) | |
| Configure the default automations |
Removing access
To revoke delegated access, set the manager role back to No delegation (owner only) and save. This is non-destructive: those members simply lose dashboard access to the server. Nothing else changes, and their Discord roles are untouched.
