Turning features on & off

Every feature can be switched on or off per server on the Features page. Pick the server from the sidebar dropdown first, then open Features.

How features work

  • Only the server owner can change features. Delegated managers see the settings but the switches are locked for them (marked Managed).
  • Turning a feature off stops the bot handling it on this server and greys out its page in the sidebar until you turn it back on. Anything you already set up (scheduled messages, jobs, automations, and so on) is kept; it just pauses while the feature is off and carries on once you switch it back on.
  • Some features carry settings. Message logging, Moderation records, and XP & levels have a settings panel right on the Features page: switch the feature on, then click its row (or the expand arrow) to open it.
  • Plan limits can lock a feature. If your plan does not include a feature, its switch shows Requires plan upgrade and cannot be turned on. See Plans & limits.

The features

The list is organised into the same sections you see in the sidebar (Automation, Engagement, Messaging, Moderation, Onboarding, Support), so a feature sits next to the ones it relates to. The Settings column says where you configure it: On this page (an inline panel under the feature's row), Dedicated page (its own page in the sidebar), or Member commands (members drive it with slash commands, nothing to set up).

Why so many start off

Features that act on their own (reacting to every message or join) or that any member can trigger start off, so you opt in deliberately and configure them first. The always-available basics (Send message, Scheduled jobs, Feeds, Automations, Commands) are on out of the box; turn off whatever you do not use.

Each feature has its own page in this guide with full setup steps. Start with the links in the sidebar under Features.
